1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using Crib Calc, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be legally able to enter this agreement in your jurisdiction.
2. License and permitted use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Crib Calc on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store where you obtained it.
You may use the app for personal cribbage scoring and training. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, bypass purchase controls, interfere with operation, or use the app unlawfully, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity despite this restriction.
3. Scoring and recognition accuracy
Camera recognition depends on lighting, card design, orientation, visibility, and device capabilities. Scores also depend on the cards and options you confirm, including starter, crib, and dealer settings. We do not guarantee that recognition or scoring will always be complete or error-free. You are responsible for reviewing the detected hand and calculated breakdown before relying on it.
4. Free scans and one-time purchase
Crib Calc may provide three successful five-card scans at no charge. After those scans, additional scanning requires the Unlimited Scans non-consumable in-app purchase. Manual scoring and other features may remain available without purchase at our discretion.
Your app store displays the controlling price and currency before you confirm payment. The store processes payment, manages purchase records, and determines refund eligibility. A completed non-consumable purchase can be restored using the same supported store account, subject to the store's terms and availability. No subscription is required.
5. Ownership
Crib Calc, including its software, design, branding, text, and original content, is owned by F4 Software LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
6. Third-party and app-store terms
Your device platform and app store may provide services used by Crib Calc, including distribution, permissions, purchase processing, and restoration. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to those services.
For downloads through Apple, your use is also subject to Apple's applicable usage rules and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms are between you and F4 Software LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Crib Calc.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. Device, operating-system, app-store, or regional requirements may affect availability. We do not promise that every feature will remain available indefinitely.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crib Calc is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these terms may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, F4 Software LLC and its owners, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, use, or profits arising from Crib Calc. Our total liability for claims relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Crib Calc during the twelve months before the claim or ten U.S. dollars. Applicable law may provide rights that cannot be limited by these Terms.
10. Termination
These Terms remain effective while you use Crib Calc. Your rights end if you materially violate them. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
11. General terms
These Terms and applicable app-store terms form the agreement governing your use of Crib Calc. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Applicable law governs without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
